Meet Kepler. He was born at 27 weeks and is now 13 weeks old, a big 3kgs and technically just ‘due’. I’ll be honest, since I’ve never photographed such a premmie baby before, I was a little apprehensive and not quite sure what to expect. I was worried about how he might handle a ‘newborn’ session since he was 13 weeks old (older then my Willow) – would he sleep? would he be curly and pose?
Oh how silly was I. Little Kepler was a true and utter champion. He was without doubt one of the best newborns I’ve ever photographed – there was no in between settling feed(s) required; he slept so soundly; he posed so beautifully; and he left me hardly any washing (but he left his mum a little!).
It was also a blast since he had the best nursery around town – there were so many cool things to incorporate into his session including his special football from Grandad and his mum’s clown.
Thanks to Kepler I’m no longer ‘afraid’ of tini tiny little ones. They’re the sweetest.
