You know, I nearly forgot to take my very first photo in my bi-annual instalment for the photo of the day challenge. In between working (and there has been a lot of that) and a sick baby (I’ll talk more about that shortly), I clean as forgot about taking a photo and that is even after I had been telling myself all of yesterday evening that I must remember. But of course, there wouldn’t be a post without a photo, so I did remember and lucky for me it wasn’t too late – later then I had envisaged, but not too late. Coincidently, I remembered in the nick of time, which gave me the perfect little subject, at a not so perfect time of day, to snap away.
So I mentioned, my poor sweet Willow is sick. Sick again. I swear she just hasn’t copped a break lately. Her nose is like a tap. Her eyes full of tears. Her cheeks ever so rosy. She barks a raspy bark and her fluctuating temperature has me reaching for the panadol on a continual basis. But still she smiles. Still she summons the energy to forget about feeling crappy and to play and sing and play some more.
She smiles those peachy lips of hers, passes me the ball in the hope I will play too and then I smile. My heart smiles.
