Today my baby turns three. I know I sound like a broken record when I say, I can hardly believe where the time has gone. But it is true. It feels like only months ago she was born, when I cried at the thought of having another girl. Happy tears of course. She was the balance our family needed and still remains so.
She was most definitely my quiet, laid back baby. She didn’t roll over until she was seven and half months and took her time walking…taking her first steps on Christmas Day when she was seventeen and half months of age. Once she found her walking feet, she found her inner voice and from there, it was Willow 360C. She’s a whirlwind in the best sense of the word. A free spirited, mother hen, capable of making even the most hardy laugh. We call her crazy but it’s a crazy my life couldn’t be without. She’s a fiercely independent child who wants to do what she wants, when she wants. She loves Dora and Thomas and Peppa Pig. She likes pink and blue and all the colours of the rainbow. But. She loves pink the most.
She is three today. Three beautiful years and I can’t wait to celebrate three hundred more.
We celebrated with a party on the weekend. It was everything I wanted it to be and most of all it was the most exciting day in Willow’s life so far. Her ‘Birfday‘ has been the talk of our house for months. So much so, I have no idea what my go to line will be when she’s misbehaving. I think it might be time for Santa to make an appearance on the horizon!
