Sugar. Spice. All things nice. {Brisbane Family Photographer}

What a way to spend a beautiful spring afternoon! Seriously, I laughed a lot photographing this session. These beautiful girls, Millie, Pippa and Scarlett, and their parents were a complete delight. They were full of fun and laughter and especially love – there is no denying that.

The curls, the painted nails, the shoes (yes the shoes I immediately ordered for Lily because they were the sweetest darn things I’ve seen in a long time) made for some extra special fun for me – I’m a lover of details!

This is quite a large share but I wanted to let people know the type of images that may be included in a galley for a family session…there are many more images but alas, this is about the limit of what I can share on my blog.

I hope you smile a big smile looking a these pictures because that’s what I’m doing right now…

Special Family {Brisbane Family Photographer}

You would have met sweet Tilly before in a few of my blog posts. She is 5 days younger than my Willow and they are ‘best friends’. See her mummy and I have been best friends for 17 years now so it’s only natural Tilly and Willow would develop a close association which I’m terming ‘best friends’. As you can see, she’s way more advanced in the gross motor area than my laid back Willow. It’s funny how they’re all so different. Completely unique in every single way.

It was special to be able to finally head out for their first proper family shoot; from now on an annual tradition.  Father’s Day for the grandfathers was taken care of with a number of costume changes (I bet you can’t pick which ones they were), followed by some more just for  some ‘cute’ factor. She’s certainly a cutie pie in my eyes.

And another instalment of Willow and Tilly…

Day 11 and a Happy Birthday! {Brisbane Baby Photographer}

To my dearest Willow,

As I sit here in wonderment that you are already one year old; that one year has passed since I looked down between your little legs and realised I had received the gift of another little girl; a girl I knew in my heart was coming; that I felt with all my being, I wonder what life will have in stall for you. I’m slowing figuring out what path life may lead for your brother and sister, but you…you are so clean; a blank slate, ready for what ever life throws your way.

I’ve already discovered that you are some what lazy. You like to chill and take what ever life throws your way. You have only just discovered that you can get what you want by moving i.e. crawling (commando is your current style of choice). You are a happy contented little soul and I’ve often wondered if your calm, serene water birth had much to do with that. Maybe its because you are the third born child and you have come to realise that there are only so many pairs of hands in this house hold. Perhaps it’s just you and your nature. Such a sweet nature you have. Your smile lights up the room and your laugh, your laugh, it’s so contagious. Byron and Lily can not help but laugh along with you in fits of happiness.

My life was blessed, and I mean truly blessed, just 12 months ago. You may be number three, but please know our family would not have been complete with out you in it. I’ve have always longed for three children. Despite my horrid pregnancies, I longed for that 3rd little soul to touch me like the first two did. Now I know why I longed so much for you, because you my darling, are like no other little soul on this Earth.  A true diamond. You are Willow, and you are mine.  My sweet baby.

Oh how I love you so. I love the way your little toes curl up when you get excited; the way you flap your hands and move them around in fits of excitement; that dimple you have when you smile, makes my heart warm. You are so intricate in the way you handle things. You ate (and I use that term loosely since you really didn’t eat more then a mouthful) your birthday cake one tiny little pinch at a time. Just so delicate. You are never in a hurry to do anything. I wonder if this is a trait you will carry through life? I guess time will no doubt provide the answer.

So, on this day, your very first birthday, I wish you a world of happiness. I have so much hope for you.  I hope over the years, life treats you with kindness and likewise, I can only hope I raise you well enough that you treat life with kindness and love and all the goodness I know you possess.

Happy birthday my dearest daughter.

Much love,
Mummy xxxxx.
