I don’t believe I’ve shared any pictures of my Byron as a toddler, but picture little Harry below and you will get a fair idea. He had the whitest hair and the bluest eyes, just like Harry. It therefore comes as no surprise that I think little Harry is adorable! And equally adorable are the portraits of him with his mummy. There is nothing like a mum and baby son portrait – I only wish I had some like this of my boy and I when he was 13 months…

The last time I photographed this family was way back when Madi was around 6 months old. Now, 2 years on, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and photographing the latest little addition to this beautiful family – little Miss Sophie, 7 months.

It was very exciting to spend an afternoon with them once again. See, it’s exciting because they live all the way in London…you couldn’t really get further away from little ol’ me if you tried. So, I’m rather fortunate to have had the opportunity to capture them not once, but twice.

Now they’re back in old London town, and I bet they’re missing our beautiful sunny Queensland weather already…how could you not?!

Albert Einstein once said “rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life!“. I thought it so fitting for this beautiful family I met a few weeks back. They rejoiced in little Tommi. It was obvious for all to see. No doubt there will be some more rejoicing in a few months time when they welcome the newest little addition to their family. I certainly had the loveliest of afternoons, spending it with them.

In a blink of an eye they grow up. From a little newborn to a big little person.

Her 12 months have been full of delight, happiness and love – I saw it and I felt it. I so enjoy being reunited with the little ones I’ve met before.

It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon; spending it with little miss Sophie – all 18 months of wisdom and cuteness.

She…

Smiled.
Laughed.
Talked, and she talked well for her age.
Showed me her ‘pink’ bear.
Ate pancakes.
Loved cuddles with her mum and dad.
And was as pretty as a picture.

Double delight…imagine it for a moment. One little boy and one little girl…it can’t get much better then that. Watching them grow, laugh and learn at the same time. Totally amazing and too delightful for words.

Little Zali and Archie are going to have some fun growing up together, I have no doubt about that. They were just the most gorgeous little people…!

I can hardly believe it’s been six months since Miss Scarlett last resided in my beautiful pram. Actually what makes it beautiful is her in it. I may be biased, but I highly doubt there would be any ongoing dispute, that sweet Scarlett is anything but extraordinary. From her amazing eyelashes to her cherub lips. She is simply divine.

Photographing extended families is not the easiest thing in the world to do! When you get lots of faces it becomes quite difficult to co-ordinate everything so when Natalie asked me to photograph her beautiful family I was a tad nervous. Of course, in hindsight I need not have worried as they were the most perfect of families to photograph, making everything so much easier then I expected. Little Ivy and Hartley were of course my favourites of the day (no offence to the big people!!). They were delightfully cute and I LOVE cute little people. Ivy, soon to be big sister, and whom you might remember as a newborn, has grown so big and is still too adorable for words. It must run in the family because Hartley is going to make a few eyelashes shutter when he’s older! No doubt about it…

Friday’s Favourites {Brisbane Baby Photographer}

I love doing my photo of the day project. Looking back at the pictures, and the words that went along with them, makes my heart burst with pride! However, with my workload I can not possibly maintain that same momentum day in, day it, 365 days of the year. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to but time simply does not permit. That brings me to Friday’s Favourites. I still want to keep up with personal projects and the journalling that goes along with it but at the same time managing my workload, my house and my children. I figure a weekly project is much more manageable then a daily one. So here it is…

“Welllooow!” “Welllooow!”

Willow’s new favourite word and it’s just the sweetest word there ever was. No longer a bubba but a “Welllooow!” She can now recognise herself in the mirror; on the computer; on the wall and boy does that make her proud.

She’s going on 20 months (although not quite yet – still 19 months) and everyday she learns something amazing and enlightening. She’s found the draws…particularly the tupperware and drink bottle draws. She likes to slobber all over the drink bottles and kids cutlery and put them right back where she got them from. She likes to have five water bottles/cups on the go at any given time. She likes her babies. Still. She wraps them in her wraps. She puts her bibs on them and feeds them – her milk. They have dried bits of milk all over their scruffy faces and I don’t have the heart to wipe it all off. Not now. Maybe never. She gets cranky when her babies don’t sit properly in their chairs (with their foreheads smacked up against the table edge). She has at least three prams on the go at any one time, filled with her stuff. I have found her in Byron’s room countless times with marbles in her mouth and hands looking up at me as if she’s done no wrong. Byron thinks he hides them but obviously not well enough. Lucky I’ve hidden them now – no more marbles for Willow. She’s too smart and way too cheeky. God love her…
