Sugar. Spice. All things nice. {Brisbane Family Photographer}

What a way to spend a beautiful spring afternoon! Seriously, I laughed a lot photographing this session. These beautiful girls, Millie, Pippa and Scarlett, and their parents were a complete delight. They were full of fun and laughter and especially love – there is no denying that.

The curls, the painted nails, the shoes (yes the shoes I immediately ordered for Lily because they were the sweetest darn things I’ve seen in a long time) made for some extra special fun for me – I’m a lover of details!

This is quite a large share but I wanted to let people know the type of images that may be included in a galley for a family session…there are many more images but alas, this is about the limit of what I can share on my blog.

I hope you smile a big smile looking a these pictures because that’s what I’m doing right now…

Birthday Girl {Brisbane Children’s Photographer}

Mummy, only one more sleep” she said with glee holding one finger right up to her nose. “One more sleep!“. The excitement on her face as she went to bed for the last time three, was pure innocence; innocence not capable of recreation…innocence only accompanied by childhood. I close my eyes and think of this moment just so I can remember her face. One of the moments confirming there is nothing better in life than being a parent. Nothing at all.

So she celebrated on Saturday like any princess would celebrate – with a beautiful party surrounded by all of her nearest and dearest. It was a princess party and she was Cinderella. She looked every bit her royal highness, so perfectly posed waiting for her friends to arrive. I tired my very best to take care of the details of the day. My intention was to ensure it was fit for a princess, and according to Lily and her little friends I was successful (thankfully).

The very first portrait would have to be up there as one of my most favourite so far in her short little life. Her essence is captured so perfectly, right down to the ring she slipped on her finger at the very last moment (these days you won’t find her often without at least one ring on a finger).

…I wonder what she wished for? What ever it was, I only wish it comes true.

Big Brother. Little Brother. {Brisbane Newborn Photographer}

Bishop, 2 years, and his little brother Siah, 15 days new, were a delight to photograph.

How exciting to have another big chubby bub straight after another! Siah was born over 10lbs and 58cms long with the most silky blonde hair! It was divine. Generally, I like to photograph my newborns under 14 days of age, mostly around 8 or 9 days. However, he was a dream baby and slept the whole session…except at the end when it was time for some photos with mum and dad!

I love when siblings come along to newborn shoots. My heart lies in photographing children just as much as it does with newborns, so it’s always fun. It was such a refreshing change having a little kid to photograph since my last 8 sessions have all been newborns. Since, I had the delight of sharing the camera with two lovely subjects, naturally I’m sharing far too many yet again!
