I’m back {Brisbane Family Photographer}

I must apologize for my longer than normal absence on the blog. So much has been happening behind the scenes I haven’t had an opportunity to blog any of the wonderful newborns and families I’ve had the opportunity to meet over the past few months. There have been so many beautiful people and I hope to share them all with you in the near future.

So here we go in an attempt to catch up…

You might recognize the beautiful girls below. I have been photographing them for the past four years. Every year around November (and yes this is November), I have the wonderful pleasure of capturing their lovely faces. They have grown into the most amazing young ladies who are poised, beautiful and well mannered (on account of their equally wonderful parents). It’s amazing to look back each year and see how much they’ve grown.

You might recognise these beautiful people. I had the upmost pleasure of photographing little Kyle’s entry into the world a few months back. It was truly one of the most amazing experiences of 2011 (you can see the birth slideshow here).

Well, here he is again. Sweet, gorgeous baby Kyle and his big, beautiful sister Tayla.

Luella is as beautiful as her name would suggest. My heart was most happy at spending a morning with her. She is pureness in it’s most simple and amazing state. She simply took my breath away this gorgeous day. I hope she takes yours away too…

You might remember THIS post about a beautiful family, their unborn baby and his fight to live.

Well, here he is. The sweetest, most cutest, loved baby you ever did see. Baby Shaun. A true miracle. After many months of blood transfusions and a will to live, he made it through and gosh, I can’t tell you how sweet it was to hold him in my arms. So much so I can’t even imagine the magic his parents would have felt that very first time they held him in their arms.

This is truly one of my most loved newborn sessions because every time I see these pictures I am reminded of just how precious life is.

So full of peaches and cream, and all things delightful. Miss Mia sure was the cutest little butterball I ever did see. All nine pounds of her. Soaking every ounce of love floating her way. And there was lots of it.

Mine. Four compelling, riveting and equally beautiful souls.

They make me laugh, and cry. Sometimes at the same time. On occasions they drive me up the wall. Probably more often than not. But without them who would I be? Sometimes I can hardly believe I’m so lucky. Sometimes I can hardly believe they’re all mine.

Thank you for sharing in my journey. Especially for your lovely, uplifting words regarding my ‘Day 18′. I truly felt every bit of love. And for that, I am beyond grateful. Until next year my friends…

Waiting for the movie to begin and I have no idea what Byron is doing, but I can see Lily is stuffing her face full of popcorn. A typical movie experience I would say.

The little Miss is finally figuring out how to make her way out of nappies and into big girl undies. She’s getting there slowly, one wee at a time and she couldn’t be more excited. Nor could I.

C’mon darling…just a little bit faster. Mummy’s been waiting. Patiently.

Sometimes, the best laid plans never work out.

It was too much to ask Byron to hug his sisters, on this particular day, at this particular time (although he will do it on other occasions). The girls were happy to oblige. But. Even if I had succeeded in obtaining a nice portrait of them all looking (which I failed to do), I still would have preferred this one the best. So. Much. Attitude. I adore the dichotomy between comfortable versus uncomfortable. It’s an extremely confusing image to look at which is why I love it.
