Byron is the type of kid that likes to keep busy. Whether that be reading, watching sport on TV, playing sport, annoying his sister, some more reading or cleaning, he has to be doing something. If he’s not doing something, he’s annoying me!
Of course, it goes without saying that right at the top of my list in keeping Byron busy, is to have him clean! I know. I know. There are probably child labour laws agains having your six year old doing such laborious chores, but if there is, I don’t know anything about them *turns a blind eye*. So, I’ve trained him well. I’ve trained him to empty the dishwasher, stack the dishwasher, vacuum the floor, clean his bedroom, clean his sister’s room, wipe the benches and my very favourite - clean the toilet! The reason it’s my favourite is because he’s a boy and, well, boys make a mess in toilets so it’s only fair they clean it up.
He does such a good job with it too…there is almost no need for me to come in and finish it off. He squirts the toilet duck; he scrubs it clean with the brush and then he gets the antibacterial wipes and he wipes the seat and the button all clean. Flush….and he’s all done! If I’m even lucky, he’ll go ahead and clean the vanity too.
