Day 15 {Brisbane Children’s Photographer}

This photo a day challenge, is where I embark on the epic, personal journey to take one photograph every day for the month of January, of the things that are important to me.

I might also have another obsession, besides books. Games. I love them; though finding the time to play them these days comes with its challenges. I’m always on the look out for new and interesting finds. Games that are quick and suitable for kids to adults a like. I love Monopoly and all the classics but when you’re six they’re not so great.

Now that Byron and Lily are getting older we have great fun playing. That’s great fun until one wins and the other looses (never mind that I might have lost too). As they say – it’s fun and games until someone gets hurt (oh and by loosing you would think they have been mortally wounded by the way they carry on sometimes). However, for the most part they’re pretty good. Each year they get better and better. Lily is particularly good for her age. She catches on quick, has a competitive streak to win, and doesn’t often require any assistance. As a matter of fact, she flogged Byron and I in our game of Qwirkle today. Whilst that didn’t go down too well with Byron, who demanded a rematch, the kids had fun. And so did I.
